The gum base is mixed with rubber, resin, wax, and other materials. It is one of the essential substances in chewing gum. Generally speaking, we can divide the main components of gum base into the high molecular polymer (elastomer), resin (plastic body), softener, filler, and emulsifier. Different ingredients determine that each gum base has its unique characteristics.
With the advancement of science and technology, new materials have been continuously developed and applied successfully. So the gum base formulation is the core technology of the gum base company. The main ingredients in gum bases officially recognized by the world are as follows.

A6 Filler
- Filler of talcum powder: Processed into white to gray powder using high-purity talc as raw material. The main component is hydrous magnesium silicate which can increase chewy.
- Filler of calcium carbonate
These ingredients usually play the following roles:
Ester: enhance the viscosity and concentration, traditionally composed of glycerol ester of rosin, rosin, etc.
Wax: It plays a softening role in the gum base, mainly composed of paraffin wax or microcrystalline wax.
Fat: play a plastic role, mainly composed of hydrogenated vegetable oils.
Emulsifier: The main ingredient is lecithin (usually soybean lecithin).
Filler: composition structure, mainly composed of calcium carbonate and talc.
Antioxidant: Protect products from oxidation and improve product shelf life, usually BHT and BHA.
